MJ watched the dogs have wrestling match. I don't know who she was cheering for. This is the first time since we brought Summer home that they actually played this hard.
It cleared up somewhat in the afternoon. At least it stopped raining long enough to get outside for awhile. We stopped at the Bay Beach Sanctuart to see the pelicans. In this picture she is looking at all the water going over the dam. The pelicans and the blue heron were to far out to get a good picture of her and them though.
Then we stopped The ay Beach Amusement Park. This park has been there since I was young. Most of the rides are still anywhere from 25 cents to $1.00. They want to keep it affordable for families.
This is the train depot. A miniature train runs near the back part of the park. A adult can fit, but it is a tight squeeze.
This roller coaster was bought last year. It was Elvis's favorite ride at Libertyland amusement park. It is hard to read from this angle so I will type it out for you.
Elvis's favorite ride. The "King" rented out Libertyland Aug 8 1977 from 1:15 am -7am to entertain a group of about 10 guests. Decked out in a blue jumpsuit with a black leather belt, huge belt buckle with touquois beads and gold chains. The "King" rode the Zippen Pippen repeatedly during a 2 hour period. He lost his belt buckle on the ride that morning and it was found and returned the next day.
Elvis's Libertyland rental became his last public apperance. He died Aug 16th.
This is another new ride. Finished about 1 month ago. It is another old ride, from another park. The city of Green Bay wants to buy more old rides for this park. I haven't tried this one yet. MJ was a little nervous hearing everyone scream.
Look at that tree changing colors. The leaves are almost the same color as her hair! We are seeing a few trees chaning colors. In about a month or so they will all be changing. It gets to be colorful around here!
We also went to Voyager Park in DePere Wisconsin. Look at those clouds! We did get more rain about 5 pm. At least we were home by then.
There are pelicans behind her. But too far back for a good shot of her and them. Some how I put a picture of the dam up near the top of this post.
It tuned out to e a nice day. I would have liked to take her to a lighthouse and another place, but the weather was to iffy. I hope everyone had a great weekend! Hug, Teresa
You sure are showing her a great time! Where all has she been? I have to do some fix up work on my dollhouse.. the grandgirls made a big mess of it. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteLucky, lucky, lucky MJ.
